Gemini Gymnastics Academy Rules & Policies

At Gemini Gymnastics Academy (GGA), we are determined to provide all children with high quality gymnastics instruction.  Their relationship with us will help them develop character as well as gymnastics skills.  The success of Gemini Gymnastics Academy will be measured in the children whose lives we touch. 

The following rules and policies have been put in place to ensure that every child gets the best experience while at Gemini Gymnastics Academy.  Through they are written there may be additional rules and policies that each child will be asked to follow within the context of class.  In addition these rules and polices may be amended from time to time and we will alert you of changes via email &/or our GGA Facebook page. 

Session Registration: Your child is registered for a class only when FULL payment is made for the class.  To ensure your child’s spot is reserved from session to session, tuition MUST be made paid by the tuition due dates listed below:

Fall 1: Upon registration

Fall 2: September 29

Winter 1: November 10

Winter 2: December 22

Spring 1: February 16

Spring 2: March 30

Spring 3: April 27

Summer: Upon registration

Dress Code: 

1. Girls must wear a LEOTARD or BIKETARD for class.  NO shorts, t-shirts, footed tights or sweatshirts permitted in class.  Snug fitting bike shorts worn over a leotard will be the only exception to the shorts rule.
2. Girls must have their have their hair pulled back out of the face.  Even short hairstyles need to be pulled back so the eyes are not obstructed.
3. NO jewelry is allowed with the exception of stud earrings.
4. Boys must wear a snug fitting T-shirt and shorts or warm-up pants of APPROPRIATE LENGTH with an ELASTIC WAISTBAND.  NO buttons, snaps or zippers permitted.
5. Bare feet only, socks are too slippery.  However, if your child has any type of wart on their feet or athlete’s foot, we ask that you cover the affected area with athletic tape until the condition clears up.
6. NO gum or candy is allowed in the gym.

Make-Up Classes: Just like college, your tuition pays for a class spot, REGRDLESS OF ATTENDANCE. However, as a courtesy we offer make-up classes.  If you know you will be absent please contact us immediately to schedule a make up class within the session that you have missed class.  Make ups must be scheduled with the front desk via phone or email.  This ensures GGA’s low student/teacher ratio.  If you need to reschedule your make up class 24 hours notice is required.  Missed make up classes will not be rescheduled.  In the event that there are no open classes to schedule a make up during the session, GGA reserves the right to provide you with an open gym pass in replacement of a make up class.  GGA does not refund, prorate or credit tuition due to absences. 

Drop Policy: Most families at Gemini prefer to remain enrolled throughout the school year. We therefore reserve spots for students at their current day and time in all of the sessions of the school year to ensure that the schedules of our families are not disrupted between sessions. Because of this, and our commitment to small class sizes, we ask that you email us as soon as possible if you plan on canceling your child’s enrolment or take a session off. If we do not receive email notification, your child will be automatically enrolled in the next session. If we do not receive your notification by the tuition due date, you will be responsible for paying the tuition charges for the upcoming session. If we receive notification, we can fill the vacancy left by your child. Please appreciate that many class days and times have more demand than we can meet, given our commitment to keeping the student to teacher ratio low.

Refund Policy: NO REFUND OR CREDITS FOR DROPPED OR MISSED CLASSES. Gemini is committed to keeping class sizes small.  Because of this commitment, a student enrolled in a class often prohibits other students from enrolling in that class. Therefore, once a session has started, no refunds will be given if a student withdraws from a class, with the exception of medical reasons. In such situations, we reserve the right to request a written acknowledgment from a licensed medical practitioner before we grant a credit. In such cases, an in house credit will be given from the date we receive the written acknowledgment 

Dates the gym will be closed: Labor Day (9/3), Halloween after school classes only (10/31), Thanksgiving Break (11/22-11/24), & Memorial Day (5/27).  If your class meets on one of these days it is YOUR responsibility to schedule a make up class, tuition will NOT be prorated.  We will be closed for regular class for our Holiday Break from 12/23/12-1/6/13.  These 2 weeks are not considered part of our Winter 1 session. 

Class Cancellations: Classes require a minimum enrollment of 4 students to run.  Classes that do not reach our minimum enrollment are subject to cancellation.

Family/Multi-Program Discounts: You will receive Family tuition discount of 10% off your 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th child enrolled in class at GGA.  A tumbling or yoga class taken in addition to a gymnastics class will receive a Multi-Program discount of 10% off when the same child enrolls in a second program.  Discounts apply towards the class tuition of lesser amount. 

Registration Fee:  An annual registration fee of $35 per child is due at sign up and on their registration anniversary date. 

Email Communication:  GGA sends invoices, updates, confirmations and news to our families via email.  We do not share your email address with others nor send solicitations other than official GGA business and news.
